Unframed 11” x 14” print of an original mixed-media collage created by NY-based designer and visual artist, Dana McClure. This series utilizes imagery that suggests the idea of strangeness and wonder in our natural environment. Works from this original series began with photographs of homegrown flowers. Images were layered into abstract compositions that deconstruct and re-imagine the color, texture and form of each bloom. (Japanese rice paper, graphite, and gouache paint). Meticulous attention to detail is given to each piece to ensure that the color and textural surface of matches the original.
